April Fools. Good times.

So I have no April Fool’s blog/website thing like Ade and Baddie, but in celebration of this holiday for pranksters, my short (and sweet) tribute to the wise guys at the office, for these lovely (and relatively harmless) pranks:

March 31: Appetizer

Victim: One of the senior designers. Keyboard, mouse, watch and monitor in a nice little package. Hid all sharp objects. The rest of them after the jump. Continue reading

Justifying the Fail

I’ve been laying on the FAIL pretty thick recently, as many of you know. I’d like to claim that a bunch of pink internet-savvy bunnies attacked my blog, took down my very interesting February posts, leaving me with only traces of soil and grass on the floor. I’d say it were a shame you didn’t get the chance to read them, really. They would have changed your lives, they were the stuff of classics.

As believable as that story is, I’m afraid it isn’t true. If by any chance you insist on believing it then, yay for me! :D

Truth is that work has sucked me dry of all blogging skills — pulled out a black crayon and scribbled all over my heart cutouts. Lolz. Seriously though, I’ve just been busy. Not miserable, mind you (I happen to really love my job) but yeah. This blog tends to suffer at crunchtime, because the pink bunnies convinced me that my readers were very understanding. Yes, you shouldn’t believe everything you read — the pink internet-savvy bunnies are actually very wise and gentle creatures.

Belated Happy Valentine’s, and I promise to be a good blogger again. For the bunnies.

2nd Day of Christmas: Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese

The last day of work, and we were not going to let it die out quietly!  So with that in mind, Ernest, Ali and I trudged through the treacherous weather on barefoot towards the valley of Emerald, if only to see the great legend that is —

All hail the DQP!

The Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese!

Okay fine, it was hardly raining when we stepped out of the office, and maybe we didn’t go on barefoot thanks to EJ’s ride. But that’s not important. What’s important is all the grease in it, and the melted cheese! What’s important is —

Half a pound of BEEF.

Half a pound of beef nested in my tummy! They said I couldn’t finish it. HAH! And I wasn’t even insanely full! See, it’s special because the boys always went out for DQP back in Hong Kong, but I always settled for the Double Cheeseburger. But what can I say, it’s a special day, aaaand they wouldn’t let me order anything less haha! Good thing too. ;]

Yes, I firmly believe that the consumption of this monster burger is blog-worthy. Not to say that I won’t blog about Noche Buena. Food is always blog (and Plurk) worthy!

Enjoy your Noche Buena, kids! Let’s all pig out and celebrate! :D

8th Day of Christmas: The Magic 8 Ball

Isn’t it funny that even though everybody knows what the magic 8 ball is — that its answers are random and are in fact not inspired by a force greater than us — we have this strange urge to ask questions we’re really concerned about, and then kinda hope for an answer we want when we shake that shiny black ball.  Something about chances? Something about wanting to believe in signs?

Okay to tell you the truth, I’m posting about the Magic 8 Ball because I got home at around 11:30 today. Long story, but a lot of it is because of the office Christmas party tomorrow, and thus I am mentally incapable of coming up with a decent list. Not at this hour — I’m too sleepy!

So here I offer you, a magic 8 ball. Click it, you know you want to.

So, considering that I’m staying out the whole day again until midnight (woohoo!), the questions is… Will I be able to post for the 7th Day of Christmas?

Ask me again later. :D

9th Day of Christmas: The Great Men of the Internet

Some of us humans like to think that the world outside our doors is a mad and dangerous one, but I beg to differ. I think there’s a world far crazier, far more twisted and unsafe, and it’s right under our noses. I call it… The Internet.

Today, to celebrate (?) the madness that is the internet, let us go over some important men of the Intarweb. They are the ones that have graced our webpages for many moons, and offered laughs and constant content for memes all around the world.

George Dubya

One. George Dubya.

The internet has not been kind to him. Okay I must admit, I really feel sorry for the guy, all things considered. I won’t lie, some stuff are funny as heck, but yeah. I wonder who got the shoes he so skillfully dodged. Somebody check eBay!

Hasselhoff

Two. The Hoff.

Because you know you’ll never be as cool as he is.

Kikkoman

Three. The Generic Sad Cosplayer Dude.

The internet is full of him. And the internet cannot get enough of him.

Michael Jackson

Four. Michael Jackson.

I love him (in Thriller and his old stuff), but dang. I don’t believe everything I hear, but I don’t blame the media (and the internet) for eating it all up. LOL.

Colonel Sanders

Five. Colonel Sanders.

And according to the wise Russel Peters, that hand motion, in Italian, means “WTF”.

Osama

Six. Osama Bin Laden.

Well, I can’t really say anything witty about him. Good thing I have this cool picture to make up for it.

Devastatin' Dave

Seven. Devastatin’ Dave.

Because he was probably really cool back then. You cannot go wrong with a name (and a get-up) like that.

Ronald McDonald

Eight. Ronald McDonald.

He used to be someone we could look up to.

Chuck Norris

Nine. You all know this one.

<There was an explanation here, but it exploded on contact with his name>

It is at this day and age where being on the internet may be the worst thing that happens to you, so stop Googling your name for Pete’s sake! Hahaha! Hope you all liked this one, and let me know if I missed anyone important. ;]

15 June

15 June: Celebrating my 100th post here, and of course, Father’s Day. <3
